The 2025 Poly Speech Contest, hosted by Poly Inspiration, was successfully held on June 28 at Songdo Convensia

This year, the contest attracted more participants than ever before, creating an even more vibrant atmosphere.

Notably, it was especially meaningful as it marked the first participation of seven-year-old students. Despite the excitement and nervousness of standing on a big stage for the first time, these young participants calmly delivered their well-prepared speeches and received enthusiastic applause from the audience. As it was their very first challenge, they had devoted a great deal of effort leading up to the event, and their faces were filled with pride and a deep sense of accomplishment after their presentations.

Elementary students also delivered confident speeches, demonstrating their English skills that they had honed over time. They sincerely expressed their own thoughts and feelings, showing remarkable growth through this experience.

Poly Creator award-winning students also visited the venue, bringing vibrant energy to the event. These young creators, who had showcased their creative and unique ideas through video content, gathered in one place, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere at the venue.

Additionally, a special voting event was held on-site to select the best winners in both the individual and team categories of the Poly Creator competition. Participating students enjoyed the unique experience of viewing the creative and imaginative works and casting their votes for the most impressive ones.

In the preliminary round held in the morning, students from 15 categories took the stage to deliver their speeches.

Each student selected one topic from either Creativity & Storytelling category or the Personal Narrative, Informative, and Persuasive category, calmly presenting their own thoughts and showcasing their skills.

In the final round that followed, the top students from each category, selected through the preliminary round, took the stage to compete for top honors. Held in Grand Ballroom, the final round carried a different level of significance and atmosphere from the preliminary round, making it an even more special and memorable challenge for the students. Despite the tense atmosphere, the finalists confidently expressed their own thoughts and stories, captivating the audience.

This year’s contest was more than just a speech competition; it served as a meaningful opportunity for students to express themselves through English, build confidence on stage, and experience personal growth. Watching all the participants confidently share their own stories left a strong impression on everyone in attendance.

Held under the slogan “Own the Moment,” the contest was designed to help students fully embrace the moment on stage and discover the power of authentic self-expression. A Poly Inspiration representative said, “This speech contest is a valuable opportunity for students to share their voices with the world in English,” adding, “For both first-time participants and those who have been steadily building their skills, today’s stage will remain a meaningful milestone in their growth.”

The challenges taken on by the students, who filled the stage with their unique colors, left a lasting impression on many and became a valuable stepping stone for their future growth.
